Robert Gene Adams, 84, passed away in his home on December 22, 2018. He was born on August 25, 1934 to Robert Glen and Helen Frankie Adams in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He worked as a Meteorological Observations Technician for the National Weather Service in Lake Hughes, CA until he retired. He then lived in Los Algodones, B.C. Mexico for over 30 years before moving to Yuma, Arizona.
Robert joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and served 4 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and received 3 metals of honor.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received recognition for being one of the pioneers in establishing the church in the San Luis , R.C. Mexico District.
Robert will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Carolina Adams and his three children, Matt, Patty and Lola. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Miranda, Annette, Madison and Joshua. He is survived by his sisters, Janice Johnson and Linda Izatt and is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steven Adams.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4200 W. 18th Street, Yuma, Arizona, followed by interment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S. First Avenue, Yuma, Arizona
