Cecilio Mario "Dindy" Ramos (also know too many as the "concrete master") age 48, passed away peacefully as he held his loving mother's hand on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Bidding Mario a peaceful journey home to our Father, was his father, daughter, sister, and many other friends and family.
Born in Yuma, Ariz., on October 18, 1964, to Felix and Yolanda Ramos, Cecilio Mario, began his career in the construction field at the age of 18. Named after his paternal grandfather (Cecilio), who was also known as a "master" in the concrete/construction field. He was a great mentor to many, and highly respected among his peers for his enormous experience. His expertise and wealth of knowledge was called upon by many.
Cecilio Mario brought his expertise to Yuma Proving Ground's Facilities Engineering, where he worked for 13 years. His work ranged from remodeling to plastering, building structures and cement finishing.
Always willing to help his fellow man, he made many friends. He was very well known for his wittiness and humor. Mario loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Survived by his wife, Shelly Ramos; daughter, Gina (Bill) Pettit, 4 grandchildren: Lacey 8, Nathan 7, Aleah 4, Derek 4 weeks; parents, Felix and Yolanda; sister, Chrissy (Dustin) Rol; brother, Roland, 2 nieces and one nephew; maternal grandmother; 5 aunts; 7 uncles and numerous cousins.
Mario was preceded in death by his sister Viola Ramos paternal grandparents, Cecilio "Chilo," and Laura Ramos, uncles and numerous cousins.
Visitation, 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, followed by rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Cremation will follow at a later date.
