Carmen Diana Johannsen, 45, passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2022, in her birthplace of Yuma, Arizona, with the comfort of her family’s presence. Carmen was born on February 11th, 1977, to Claudia Rico and Ernest Martin Johannsen II.
Carmen (Booboo) was a caregiver from a young age and was forever tending to those in need. Carmen was well-known for being an amazing cook, who would share her love for others through warm, home-cooked meals. Carmen’s talents went far beyond the kitchen, as she took pride in being an accomplished florist, cosmetologist and farmer. Friends and family all benefit from her skills in cosmetology; she would leave you looking your best and never expected anything in return. Carmen always had a green thumb, which aided her in contributing to her family’s long held tradition of farming. Just as Carmen’s family nourished the world through their crops, Carmen helped foster growth in those around her, and deeply touched the lives of everyone she cared for. Carmen’s love for sunflowers serves as a comforting reminder of the light that she shed on this world. Carmen’s unconditional love was reliable, and her never ending, selfless acts of kindness will always be commemorated by the heartening impact she made in her loved one’s lives. She will be deeply missed by so many and will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Carmen on 10/29/2022 at 10:00 am at Johnson Mortuary located on 1415 S 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364. Service will be followed by a reception at River City Grill. The family welcomes flowers at her service in honor of all of the beautiful bouquets that Carmen blessed us with during her life.
