On May 4, 2024, our beloved Antonio “Tony” Napoleon Moreno, a cherished father, tata, husband, brother, cousin, uncle, coach, and friend, passed away at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy of love and family unity.
Born on January 3, 1949, in Yuma, AZ, Tony was the devoted son of Antonio Moreno Sr. and Victoria Moreno. Tony was a proud graduate of Yuma High School’s class of 1967. He began his working life in the fields alongside his father, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. He then channeled his skills into becoming an auto mechanic, a role he excelled in with his knack for problem-solving and innovation. Later, he transitioned to a career as a telemetry technician at Yuma Regional Medical Center, where he continued to apply his technical expertise and care for others. Beyond his professional roles, Tony dedicated himself to coaching, guiding his daughters in various sports and volunteering as a track and field coach at several local high schools.
Tony was a talented musician and gifted songwriter. Alongside his beloved wife, Indea, he performed in their band, North End Connection, where their shared passion for oldies created unforgettable memories for family, friends and the community as a whole. Tony was known for his humor, delicious breakfasts, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Tony is survived by his daughters, Jessica Coz, Georgia Moreno, Victoria Blair, and Alicia Mulloy; his grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, LaMyah, Josiah, Benjamin, Zoey, Willow, and Austin; sisters Margie and Alice, and brother Henry. Antonio was preceded in death by his wife, Indea; his sister, Teresa; and his parents, Antonio Sr. and Victoria.
