Ryan was born in Fontana on July 8, 1997, but spent his whole life in the Calimesa, Yucaipa, and Beaumont areas. He graduated from Yucaipa High School in 2015 and the EMT program at Crafton Hills College in 2018.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Christine Dougherty; father, Andrew Matlock; sister Haley Matlock; grandmothers, Carolyn Dougherty, Margaret Pike, and Patti Dougherty; grandfather Phil Dougherty; aunts Marni Dougherty, Amy Wheeler, Rosemary Matlock and Colleen Hall; cousins, Autumn, Michael, Samantha, Nathan, and Stephanie.
Ryan will be remembered for his big heart, kind and gentle soul, generous spirit, and infectious laugh. He will be missed by all those he met.
