California with his grandson Samuel Steele by his side. He was 88 years old. Dale was born
November 30, 1930 in Point, Texas. He spent most of his life living on the West Coast in Oregon,
where he met his wife and then California. He married Nancy Ann Curry, and together had four
children, the oldest daughter Kathleen Cherie, and sons Thomas Paul, Richard Dale, and James
Franklin. He has two grandsons, Samuel Steele and Nicholas Worley. During his life, Dale was an
active Boy Scout leader when his sons were younger, an activity he enjoyed for over 30 years,
where he was bestowed the Silver Beaver award. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing as a
child with his family, and carried the camping and fishing traditions with his family. Dale worked
as a Service Technician for General Electric for 25 years until his retirement. In his later years he
pursued ranching as a hobby, which he enjoyed very much. He devoted much of his spare time
to helping friends and family whenever possible. In death he joins his Father Searcy, his Mother
Lizzie-Kate, his Sisters Kathleen and Linda, his Daughter Kathleen Cherie, Son Thomas and Wife
Nancy Worley. He is survived by his Son Richard and wife Kristie and Grandchildren Nicholas,
Thomas, and Kristina; his Son James and his wife Justine; his Grandson Samuel and his wife Kim
and Grandchildren Connor, Morgan, and Makayla.
