Doris (Fite) Baum, 92, died Thursday, June 22, 2022 at The View in Alexandra, Virginia, her residence for the past 10 years. Born July 23, 1930 in York, PA, she was the daughter of William C. and Margaret (Thomas) Fite. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gordon W. Baum and her brother Thomas Fite. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Baum) Olson and her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey B. and Carol Baum; three grandchildren, Kristin (Olson) Purvis (Tim); Brendan Olson (Stacey); and Aaron Baum (Tory). Additionally, she has six great-grandchildren, Collier and Emory Olson, Evelyn, Madelyn and Jack Purvis, and Ryker Baum. She was a graduate of Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA. She touched many lives as an elementary and high school teacher in the Rahway and Bloomingdale, NJ school districts. There will be a private grave side service for the immediate family on July 15th.
