Vincent E. "Buddy" Stefanik

He was born on January 10, 1931 to Vincent and Helen Evanko Stefanik in Yonkers where he was raised and educated graduating from Commerce High School where he was a star athlete in basketball. Mr. Stefanik was a manager at the Toyota Dealership in Yonkers for many years prior to his retirement. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. Mr. Stefanik was a former parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a member of the Hollow A.C. On May 17, 1953, he married his loving wife, Barbara Joan Sheehan in St. Joseph’s Church in Yonkers. Mrs. Stefanik died on August 15, 2014. Mr. Stefanik is survived by three brothers, Richard Stefanik and his wife Rose of Cortlandt Manor, Raymond Stefanik of Yonkers and Edward Stefanik of Mahopac. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Stefanik, a sister Eleanor (Lolly) Giorgio and two sister in laws, Dorothy Stefanik and Mary Ann Stefanik. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 1-5pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday December 24th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
