Patsy Fugaro of Yonkers died on Sunday June 3, 2012 at age 90. He was born on October 4, 1921 to Leonard and Concetta (D’Ambrosio) Fugaro in Yonkers where he was raised and attended local schools. Mr. Fugaro was self employed in Real Estate. On May 18, 1947 he married Vivian Carpiniello in Mt. Carmel Church. She died in 2001. Patsy was a parishioner of Christ the King Church, a member of the Italian City Club (Founder), a World War II Navy Veteran; he served aboard the U.S.S. Talamanca. Patsy proudly served his country for 9 years during WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed watching his Yankees, cruises with his family, visiting Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City and sitting in his recliner with his dogs (Shadow and Leonard). He also attended his Navy Reunions. He is survived by his 4 children Leonard (Elizabeth) Fugaro of Lagrangeville, NY; Concetta (Joseph) DiGugliemo of Yonkers, Dorena Fugaro of Yonkers and Patricia (Faysai) Chraibi of Yonkers, also his 8 grandchildren Joseph (Tricia) DiGugliemo, Roger Peterson, Jonathan (Leanne) Digugliemo, L. J., Crystal, Jena, Chelsea, Nicholas Fugaro and Vivian Chraibi, and 2 great-grandchildren Analise DiGugliemo and Mackenzie Fugaro, his brothers Frank and Peter Fugaro and his sister Madeline Ditomasso and his brother-in-law Nunzio Carpiniello. Visiting hours will be in the Whale & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday June 6th from 4 to 8 pm ONLY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Thursday June 7th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
