Mary (Gallagher) Rogers, a longtime resident of Yonkers, passed away on March 14, 2017 at Adira Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility at the age of 93. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Gallagher. After graduating from Walton High School in 1941, she worked in the purchasing and accounting departments for Sears Roebuck & Co. In 1949, she married Gerald Rogers and relocated to Orlando, Florida. She returned to the Woodlawn neighborhood in the Bronx NY in 1959. After raising her two sons, she worked in the cafeteria at Saint Barnabas High School. She later worked at Citi Bank where she retired as Head Teller in 1998. Mary was devoted to her family, enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and game player, a lover of animals, and supporter of the U.S. Military. Survivors include two sons, Matthew Rogers (Trisha) of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Michael Rogers (Laura) of Orangeburg, NY.; three sisters, Helen King of Closter, NJ, Joan Farrell of East Meadow, NY, and Anne Terry of Cornville, AZ; one brother, Eugene Terry (Carol) of Farmingdale, NY; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Helen Rogers, sister,Nora Gallagher, two brothers, Anthony Gallagher and Michael Gallagher, and grandson, Justin Rogers.
