Kevin was born December 10, 1958 to Anna Louise and McBee Butler in Yonkers, New York. He attended Yonkers Public Schools and Graduated from Charles E. Gorton High School in June 1976. He received a basketball scholarship and attended Diallo College in California. After College Kevin was employed by Otis Elevator Company. He then worked for Liberty Lines over twenty-five years before retiring. Kevin then decided to go work for the Yonkers Board of Education until September 2020.
Kevin enjoyed playing basketball. He taught many young men including his sons to make sure their wrist was in the right position before releasing the famous jump shot. Like he would say “COUNT IT”. He also collected old coins, enjoyed listening to his music and just chillin.
Kevin loved being with his family. No family cookout or gathering was complete without Kevin talking junk about or to someone and making everyone laugh with his catch phrase “Dig It”. He was famous for saying he wanted his hot dog Burnt!! Kevin is predeceased by his parents Anna Louise and McBee Butler, sisters, Maxine Taylor and Esther Thompson (Yvonne), brothers, Ronald and Nathan (Brenda). To cherish his memories Kevin leaves to mourn his wife Michelle, two sons, Korey and Kahele, three beautiful grandchildren, Zuri, Zakai and Zyomi, daughters in law, Janiqua and Glismel. Sisters, Betty (Nathaniel), Juanita (Norman) and Robin (James), brother James Madison (Beryl). Sisters in law Margaret (Ronald), Phyllis, Marsha (Ervin), Jane (Curtis) and Eileen (Carlton). Brothers in law, Richard (Esther), and Craig (Stephanie). Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. The family of Kevin Thank You sincerely for your love, support, kind words and prayers in our time of bereavement.

Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 10-11:30am with a funeral service to follow at 11:30am. Final disposition will be private.
