Dorothy Barnett

Dorothy Barnett (nee Eichel) of Yonkers died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at age 89. Born on March 11, 1927 to Herbert and Ellen (Welsh) Eichel in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Barnett was the bookkeeper for Mirrortech Industries in Yonkers for over fifteen years; prior to that she worked for Saw Mill River Industries. On August 24, 1946 she married James Barnett; he died in 2008. Dorothy was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Barnett is survived by her three children; Patricia Barnett, Susan (William) Sacco and James (Mary) Barnett. She is also survived by her six granddaughters; Danielle, Katelyn, Brittany, Jessica Jennifer and Kasey. She was predeceased by two brothers Herbert and Harold Eichel and two sisters Ruth Barnett and Millie Devitt. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, October 22nd at 9:15 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
