Bill was born February 16, 1917 in Carlton, WA to David Frank and Maude Alice (Cook) Nagle.
He graduated from Grandview High School and shortly after, he married Elaine Massey in Seattle in 1943. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on April 27, 1971. Bill and Elaine were dedicated temple workers in the Seattle Temple as well as in the San Diego Temple for several years. He loved his time serving his Heavenly Father and others during the many church callings he held.
Dad always had a beautiful garden. He loved flowers, especially roses. He walked everywhere he could and truly enjoyed the beauty of the earth. He was always excited for Walla Walla sweet onion season and ate them like apples. He loved going to the orchards of the valley for the fresh fruit. Summer, weekly trips to the Imperial Gardens for fresh vegetables were exciting experiences. One of his favorite adventures was to Hawaii with mom, Bonnie and Dennis. He was able to ride in a glass bottom helicopter over a live volcano. That story grew a little more “eruptive” each time it was told.
He loved his family and really enjoyed reciting poetry to his children and his grandchildren; he always had a wonderful story to tell. He knew no stranger and considered his caregivers at landmark as part of his family.
“Dad was an amazing example of… Enduring to the End”
