born in Hood River Oregon January 5, 1956 to Bobbie and Jessie Bird.
He graduated from Naches High School in 1974. After graduation Stanley worked for Safeway for over 30 years.
In 1990, Stanley along with his older brother Danny made their dream of owning a limousine company a reality, and Moonlit
Ride Limousine was founded. He was known all over the Yakima area for his spotless and freshly waxed
cars.
Stanley loved working outdoors and prided in his green thumb. He took great pride in his work as a
custodian and bus driver for East Valley School District. Stanley reminded all he came into contact with
that it is not the length of life, but the depth of life that matters most.
Stanley is survived by his wife Jackie Koreski-Bird of Yakima, mother Bobbie Bird of Yakima, brother
Danny Bird of Yakima, daughter Trista Bird-Johnson her husband Shawn Johnson, and twin daughters
Kaylee and Kaitlin Johnson of Richland, WA., Son Jason Koreski, his wife Tatiana Koreski, their sons Ethan and Blake,
and daughter Kate of Blaine, WA., Son Josh Koreski, his wife Hanna Koreski, and their
daughter Olivia of Yakima.
He is preceded in death by his Father Jessie Lee Bird of Yakima
The family would like to say a special thank you to Cyndi Lyons Mullenhoff from Avail Home Health, the wonderful and caring staff
at Cottage in the Meadow, Dr. Thomas Boyd and the staff at North Star Lodge, and Dr. Amir Madarressi at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
All of the doctors, nurses,and supporting staff involved in Stanley's care were so wonderful and caring, you all are appreciated
more then you know.
A funeral service will be held at Rainier Memorial Center on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. No viewing will be held.
