Shirley Ann Burlingame went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2022 at the age of 80. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 16, 1942 to William and Annie Swope. Shirley moved to Washington as a child where she later met her husband, Paul Burlingame.
Paul and Shirley were married on May 26, 1961. They had two children that they raised in the Yakima Valley. Paul and Shirley spent a lot of time traveling just the two of them as well as with their children and later with their grandchildren and even their great-grandchildren. They frequently visited the Oregon coast, Washington coast, Arizona, and Nevada on their trips. Shirley loved her family tremendously and some of her fondest memories were camping trips with her family along the coast visiting the lighthouses and collecting seashells. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was one of the kindest people and she will be remembered for her loving nature. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley's faith had always been an important part of her life.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Paul Burlingame, children Jeff (Paula) Burlingame, Kristi (Rob) Lawrence-Berrey, Grandchildren Jessica (Kyle) Knapp (Great-Grandchildren Grant, Garrison & Emmalynn), Kyle (Taylor) Burlingame, Erik Higgins, Nikki (Eliseo) Morales (May), Kraig (Raegan) Burlingame. Shirley is also survived by one of her sisters and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Friday, September 16th from 4-8 and a graveside service at Tahoma Cemetery on Saturday, September 17th at 10AM. The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for her throughout her battle with cancer for their compassion of Shirley. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial gift in Shirleys name to support cancer care at the Memorial Foundation.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.keithandkeith.com for the Burlingame family.
