Maria was known for her hard work, perseverance, positive attitude, many jokes and unrelenting love for her children and grandchildren. Maria gave it her all at every job she had. Whether that was in the middle of a fruit warehouse or caregiving for her clients in their homes, she worked with excellence and passion.
Maria spent hours on end in her garden that she considered a paradise. She loved taking her family out to breakfast, going on walks, spending time with her loved ones, and enjoying each day to the fullest.
Maria’s love for God shined in every area of her life, and her faith in God’s perfect will was admirable to the very end.
Maria battled an aggressive stomach cancer before going to be with the Lord.
Maria’s memorial service will be held on June 15, 2024, at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Yakima Area Arboretum (inside of the Jewett Interpretive Center) at 1:00pm. No viewing or burial will be held.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Heartlinks Hospice for making the last 3 weeks of Maria’s life comfortable, full of love, and free of pain.
