Lloyd Donald Walker was born March 23, 1926 n Moxee to Oliva (Menard) Cyr. Dad attended Marquette HS until WWII. He joined the Merchant Marines for a c pie of hazardous cruises and returned home to Yakima only to be drafted into the Army. He fought with the 96th infantry Deadeye Division in the Pacific. He never talked much about his war time experiences. Dad received the following military awards and Decorations: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 bronze service star, World War II Victory Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon, Honorable Service Label button WWII and Marksman Badge with rifle bar.
Lloyd returned home and in 1946 he was introduced to Florence (Schab) Walker by his war time buddy (Robert Schab). She was the love of his life and soulmate. They were married September 27, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lloyd and Florence were married just shy of 67 years, Dad and Mom had two children (Ronnie and Susan). This is where Lloyd and his family adventure began. Dad enjoyed to tent camp with his young family followinq the retreating snow line making its way up the pass. Vacation trips to the Oregon and Washington coasts were additionally taken. The young family then bought a summer cabin on Chinook Pass where they spent many a great times with family, grandchildren and friends. They sold "The Cabin" and bought a summer beach house on Hood Canal where many more years were spent enjoying fishing, shrimping, crabbing, clamming, oyster hunting with family and friends. The views from the deck were incredible. In Dads later years he and Mom became snow birds spending 13 winters in Yuma, AZ.
Dad spent 38 years employed at Boise Cascade retiring in 1988. He was a saw filer for most of those years.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife (Florence), mother (Oliva (Menard) Walker Cyr), step father Anthony (Nap) Cyr, brother-in-law Douglas Blondin, step brothers and spouses Ted (Leona) Cyr and Lawernce Bud (Laura) Cyr. He also is preceded in death by 20 brother and sister in laws.
He is survived by his sister Violet Blondin of Tacoma, son Ron (Paula) of Yakima, daughter Susan of Yakima, Granddaughter Patti (Jason) Walker-Hickey of Spanaway and great grandchildren Bailey Stehn of Pullman, Bella Hickey of Spanaway, Grandson David (Angel) Walker of Spanaway, great grandson Jacob Walker of Spanaway, sister-in-Iaws Lenora Schab of Yakima, Margaret Davis of Spangle, Andrea Frampton of Spangle, Cindy Schab of Richland, brother-in-Iaws Andrew Jr. Bud (Devon) Schab of Zillah, John (Kathy) Schab of Prosser, Tony (Kay) Schab of Spokane, Eddie (Bev) Schab of Benton City, Step Granddaughter Doni (Steve) Wangler and children of Yakima, Step Grandson Fred Wells and children of Yakima. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 9th at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial following at Calvary Cemetery.
