Linda was born on April 13, 1938 to Clarence and Leona Wohl in Butte Montana. After graduating from Helena High School in 1956, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Later in life, Linda earned her MA in Counseling from Heritage College in Toppenish.
It was at Gonzaga where Linda met Benjamin Brunner, they married in 1960. Ben and Linda settled in Yakima, Washington where they raised five children.
Using her knowledge and expertise as a counselor, Linda felt called to support those who were experiencing challenges in life, especially youth and adolescents. Her lifelong dedication to this mission included work with Catholic Charities of Yakima and both the Yakima and Federal Way Public School Districts. She also spent years working with the World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) completing home studies for families trying to adopt children. Linda's work in service to others touched the lives of so many. Following retirement Linda and Ben moved to Spokane, WA to be closer to family.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Ben, son Eric, and her parents Clearance and Leona. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kurt and Debbie Brunner of Tacoma, Kristine and Jeff Peugh of Tri Cities, Elizabeth and Jerry Cain of Spokane, Suzanne and Ned Lever of Seabeck, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
