Judy is survived by her daughter/best friend, Liz, and her beloved son-in-law, Kris Stokes, and their children, Cael, Bentley, and Penny, who were the light of her life. They often spent Saturday nights with her, summers with her, and she rarely missed their games. She was always their biggest supporter and #1 fan.
She is also survived by her sons Nick Anderson and Eric Anderson and Eric's children, Stephen, Radley, and Quinn. Also, her mother Sarah Guthrie; her siblings, Carolyn Larsen, Rick Guthrie, Glenda Epperheimer and Glenda's husband, Bill, her sister-in-law, Diane; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Rachel Hildebrand, Casey Bruner, and Cass and Scott Epperheimer. Judy had a special relationship with her great nieces and nephews, SunnyB, Zion, Amya, Alana, and Kiara.
Judy is preceded in death by her dad, Herb Guthrie, whom she adored and missed every day.
Judy attended the Highland School District for all 12 grades. She loved her childhood in Naches Heights, working in the apple orchards with her dad, and was often involved in rambunctious shenanigans.
She loved the family's annual family vacations to Westport, and she also loved childhood trips to Arkansas to visit her grandparents and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Judy graduated from Trend Business College in Yakima, which later became Yakima Business College, where she worked as president for a number of years. She later became a licensed real estate agent, which suited her love of beautiful homes and her impeccable decorating talents.
When her children were young, Judy's greatest joy was taking them camping in the mountains or Oregon coast for family vacations.
Judy was an excellent seamstress, making almost all of her own clothes in high school, all of Liz's Halloween costumes, and later loved making clothes for granddaughters and great nieces. There is a huge void in all our lives with this tremendous loss. Judy had the most loving and nurturing of hearts, and even in death found a way to heal relationships and remind us all of what is most important. She will be terribly and deeply missed.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held in early June.
