Jolene (Jo) Lacher

Jo was a member of the Class of 1973 at Cascade High School in Everett WA. She attended Washington State University, Green River Community College and earned her bachelor's degree in theater from the University of Nevada-Reno. Jo returned to school later to earn a Master's in Theater from Western Washington University. Jo held many jobs during her working years, including those in theater and higher education. She performed in musical theater productions at the Big Fork Summer Playhouse in Big Fork, MT three summers. She was the Theater Director for the Gig Harbor, WA, community theater. Most recently she worked as an academic advisor at University of Idaho and University of Washington, Bothell. Jo had a life-long dream to visit Ireland, which was realized in 2008 when she spent 6 weeks studying theater at the National University of Ireland Galway, in Galway City, Ireland.

Jo is survived by her mother, Emilene of Lake Stevens, WA, her sister, Candy of Moses Lake, WA, her aunt, Phyllis Grismer of Minnesota and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John.

Jo was an avid reader and nearly always had a library book on-hand. The family suggests memorials be made to the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation or the charity of the reader's choice.
