John W Cagle

John Wilson Cagle, born May 18, 1923 to Ola Ingold and Murdo Staime Cagle in Glen Elder, Kansas, rose from his bed at 6:30 AM and joined hands with the Lord on Saturday morning October 18, 2014 in Yakima, WA at the age of 91.

John married Jane Marie Donathan on February 10, 1962 sharing a united marriage of over 52 years. John was father to 13 children, and over 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

John lived a long life, bravely serving our county in World War II, Korea and Viet Nam, retiring at Staff Sergeant rank after 27 years of honorable service. After service retirement, John wore many hats over the years from volunteer scouting with his sons, to farming his properties in the Puyallup Valley, Selah and Yakima. He enjoyed working as a machinist at Boeing and running various machines at Paxport Mills. His hobbies included square dancing with his wife, and playing a game of Pinnacle with anyone up to the challenge.

Although he will be greatly missed we know he is joyfully planting seeds of love in God’s great garden, where he was greeted with open arms by his son Paul who left this life too young.

John, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa John we love you and will miss you always.

A Graveside inurnment will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
