Jeanette May Chapman, 84 of Yakima went to be with the Lord Friday, March 28, 2014. She passed away in her home with her loving family close by her side. She was born May 17, 1929 to James Kenneth and Louise Elizabeth (Trudeau) Wilson in North Hampton, Massachusetts.
She was a very loving and kind spirit, we will miss her but we know she is now in heaven. She came to the Yakima Valley in 1972 with her husband Frank Chapman and together they raised a loving family of four children. Frank passed away at the age of 49 in 1983. She worked for many years in food services with various local school districts before retiring.
After retiring, Jeanette and her companion Frank Howe enjoyed traveling in their motorhome making five trips to the East coast. They were Winnebago club members. They went on several great cruises together. She also enjoyed gardening, was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an avid mall walker.
Surviving family include her significant other of 29 years Frank Howe of Yakima, Son Shawn Chapman and Irene Hernandez of Midwest City, OK, Daughters; Winona “Nona” Chapman of Portland, OR, Denise (Kip) Sawyer of Littleton, CO, Sheryl (Wesley) Dietsch of Vancouver, WA, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Chapman and twin sister Jeanne Liton.
Visitation and viewing will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt.
