Duane was the most dedicated, loving, loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved with his whole heart always. He was such a family man and was so very proud of his children, Stephanie (Edgar), Sarah (Angel) and his son David. He was blessed with his one and only grandson, Noah on August 12, 2023-they were such buddies, the smiles, the games and him always saying “I love you all the days”.
Duane met Amy Dreisbach in 1984, and everyone knew it was forever. They married July 11, 1987, and they did have a love that lasted. Through ups and downs, good and bad, sickness and health it was always them together. We will miss his jokes, his baby talk, his nicknames, he was so funny and good humored. Duane loved his wife so much.
Duane loved life, before he became disabled, he loved bowling, golf, softball and civil war reenactments. He was always active in the children’s sports, girl scouts and school activities. Family was his life. God gained a beautiful soul, and I know God's love for his is so much more than ours, my faith will get me through this and the love I had for my husband.
Duane is survived also by his parents, Larry (Alva) Rike, brothers Daniel (Jennifer), Randall (Lisa), sister Melanie (Tim) and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his younger brother Michael.
A celebration of life will be held at his home on June 7, 2025, from 2:00 pm on.
In lieu of flowers, he did not have life insurance when he became disabled so contributions to the family could help during this time.
Address for Sympathy cards – 1114 S. 30th Ave, Yakima, Washington 98902.
