Denny, as he was known, moved to Washington and graduated from Selah High School (’67). He served in the Army National Guard from 1967 to 1973. He spent 40 loyal years committed to the Washington State Department of Agriculture. During his working life, he attended night school to better himself and his family, earning his BS in Business Administration in 1982. He served as a Boy Scout Leader and participated heavily in scouting with his two boys while continuing to enjoy camping with his wife, family, and friends. His retirement celebration was well attended in 2014. In later years, he donated generously to several non-profit organizations benefiting children.
He was married to his wife Suzanne for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kevin. He is survived by his wife, their two remaining sons Josh and Ryan, and his two brothers, Steve, and Jeff. He was a proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Zechariah, Gabrielle, Emily, and Kyan, who always brought a bright smile to his face.
A visitation for Dennis will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
Denny will be honored in a memorial service at Keith and Keith funeral home at 11:00 am, Tuesday September 20, 2022 with a reception immediately following.
