Christopher Lee Neal

Christoper Lee Neal passed away August 30, 2024 with his mother by his side at the Kittitas Valley Hospital. Chris was born July 12, 1973 to Lee Neal and LesLee Larsen Wheat in Fort Benning, Georgia. He was raised in West Valley Yakima, Washington.

Chris attended West Valley Junior High and High School where he was on the soccer team and enjoyed playing different teams from around the valley. He also played the trombone and loved his time with the marching band, especially marching in parades.

Chris graduated from Washington State University, Gonzaga Law School and went on to earn a Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Washington.

Chris was an avid scouter where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout which he was very proud of. He especially loved going to Camp Fife every summer with his scout troop and the monthly campouts.

Chris was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Tucson Arizona Spanish Speaking Mission. Later in life he was active in his single adult ward where he loved and immensely enjoyed the other members and their activities.

Chris loved writing and was able to write and publish many books. Chris loved all things outdoors, especially river rafting which he continued throughout his life. His biggest love in life was his family. Chris was an amazing dad; all his thoughts and actions surrounded his kids which was truly his biggest passion.

He is survived by his children: Ammon, Katelynn, Benny and Sam. His parents: Lee (Trina) Neal and LesLee (Terry) Wheat. His siblings: Allan (Molly) Neal, Nate (Allicen) Neal, Sean (Mitra) Neal, Carrie Neal, Aaron Neal, Bryan (Vanessa) Neal.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6th at 10:00am. There will be a viewing prior from 9-10 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel located at 702 North 1st Street in Selah, Washington.

Internment will be at the Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.
