Charlotte was born June 13, 1926 in Springfield, Idaho to Robert and Dorothy Porter.
Upon graduation from high school, like her parents, Charlotte attended the University of Washington, majoring in music. While at the U of W Charlotte excelled in her academics. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority and served as sorority president.
It was there on a blind date that she met the love of her life, Tom Rosier. An Army Air Corps fighter pilot home from the war, he was equally smitten.
They married in August of 1950. Charlotte taught music in the Seattle public schools while Tom completed his studies at the University of Washington dental school.
They moved to Yakima in 1954, where Tom started his dental practice and Charlotte started a family with the help of Tom. Their daughter Kathryn was born in 1955.
While raising a family Charlotte and Tom were involved in many community and civic events. Volunteering and fundraising were their constant companion.
Charlotte enjoyed many activities with her large group of friends, but her stand out passion was being in the kitchen cooking. From appetizers to entrees to desserts, Charlotte won praise from all who were invited to her table.
Her grandchildren would tell you she was the best grandmother in the world, showering them with love, literature and an exposure to music.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, daughter Kathryn (Paul) Magers of Los Angeles, grandchildren Emily Magers of Santa Clara, CA and Anna Magers of Culver City, CA.
Charlotte is interred at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in a plot with a view.
