Arloha lone McCoy
1929-2019
Arloha McCoy passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on August 17, 1929, in Dryden, WA. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Schillereff. She was the youngest of seven and the "apple" of her Dad's eye.
Arloha married Delbert "Mac" McCoy in Wenatchee, WA on November 22,1945, at the young age of 16. They moved to the Seattle area in 1947 where they lived off and on until the early 60's. During this time she was busy raising her daughters and keeping their home a special place to come home to. They lived a short time in California before they moved to Yakima in 1965 and eventually purchased an orchard in Selah. She was "the glue" that kept everything running. She and Mac were a team for almost 70 years until he passed away in 2015.
Arloha will always be remembered for the love that she showed to her family and friends as well as her love of home, trips to Cannon Beach, ice cream bars, chocolates, shopping, playing Phase 10 and Rummikub. She always looked forward to the times when she could do these things with her "girls" whom she loved so much.
Arloha was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert "Mac" McCoy, her parents, John and Elizabeth Schillereff, her sister and five brothers.
Arloha is survived by her daughters, Terry Ball (Richard), Debbie Sutton, Kit McCoy, Dru McCoy, Dawn Sciara (Mark), Kathy Chenez, six grandchildren, Brandon, Aimee, Jennifer, Ryan, Ashli, Matthew and eight great-grandchildren.
At Arloha's request, there will be no funeral. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
The family of Arloha would like to thank all of her in home caregivers, Hospice and the caring staff at Chandler House. She was truly blessed and will be missed.
