After a long and trying bout with cancer and it's many complications, Joyce went home to be with her Lord January 23, 2012. Joyce was born in Lincoln MO, March 14, 1934, to Frank and Juanita Friedrich. The family moved to Washington in 1936 where she was raised.
Joyce graduated from Toppenish High in 1952 and attended business college. She was married to Mitchel Adams on May 8, 1957 and began their family.
During the 60's and 70's she worked in the various canneries and packing houses in the valley. In the 80's she owned an ran both the Southern Stairwell and Whistlestop restaurants.
She was active in church helping to found New Hope Chapel, where her brother-in-law Leon Adams was pastor. She attended The Church On The Move and gave service by providing meals for their Wednesday night dinners and for their camp at Camp Jubilee on White Pass.
She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband. She is survived by her brothers and their wives Wayne and Edna, Ray and Emma, Dale and Vickie Friedrich. By her sons and their wives, Chuck And Colleen, Paul and Pam and James Adams and by her daughters Barbara and Patty Adams and Elsie Barnes. She also leaves behind 14 grand-children and 13 great-grand-children and her dog, Penelope. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Langevin-Musseter Funeral Home to defer funeral expenses.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church On the Move 3414 Tieton Drive on Friday February 3rd at 12:00.
