August 6, 1941 - May 7, 2023
Angela Samora passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023, in Yakima, WA. She was surrounded by her loving daughters and granddaughters as she went to be with our Lord.
Angie was born on August 6, 1941, in Wapato, WA to Ralph H. Samora and Carmel M. Samora. She had many siblings: Daniel (Hope) Samora, Arthur (Josie) Samora, Gilbert (Bonnie) Samora, Marcella (Abraham) Quintanilla, Eddie Samora, and Christina Samora.
She had four beautiful children and 12 grandchildren who adored her: Jesse (Nora) Garza (Cathy, Brandon, Brian, Benjamin), Beatrice Garza (Steven, Raymond, Eric), Clarisa (Manuel) Espinoza (Steve, Scott, Jamie), and Elsa (Javier) Martinez (Jocelyn, Jayla). She was blessed to have numerous great-grandchildren as well.
Angie fondly remembered her childhood growing up on a farm in Wapato with her parents. She enjoyed reminiscing about all the adventures she had with everyone she came across! Particularly a duck she named Quack-Quack. She loved all the little things in life, like birdwatching, animals, being at the park, or just being in the presence of her family. She always warmed our hearts and brought a smile to our faces with how much excitement she would have over the smallest things. For this, we will always remain grateful for what we have.
She also had a love for movies! Scary movies, action-packed, you name it—she loved it. She entertained us all with her dramatic recap and excitement of a good movie. We will forever cherish her humor.
Angie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, tia, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Carmel, her brothers (Daniel, Arthur, Gilbert, Eddie), her sister Christina, her daughter Beatrice, and her grandson Steven. We know they greeted her with open arms and love as she entered heaven.
We would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Yakima Memorial Hospital for taking such good care of her during her stay. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Sister Fe for the prayers and comfort during our time of need.
A memorial honoring Angela Samora will be held in July of 2023. Details will be given to family and friends at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.keithandkeith.com for the Samora family.
