Alice J. Coleman, 88, a lifelong resident of Yakima went to meet her Savior on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. She was born December 9, 1922, to Raul Bergevin & Ester Beddoe Bergevin.
Alice attended Yakima High School. She married James B. Coleman in 1942 and with this union they had 4 children; Billie Jean of Oregon, Patrick of Vancouver, Daniel (Susan) of Olympia, Clayton (Frances) of Selah. She has twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Sylvan & Melvin, 3 sisters, Lea, Alma & Lorraine.
Alice was honored in the early 1990s by the Governor of WA State as Volunteer of the year for her work as Employment Facilitator for the Yakima Senior Center. She was active in church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir.
