brothers Ray Vaughan, and Shane (Gayle) Vaughan. He is survived by his wife Victoria, his two sons Ryan (Scotti) Vaughan, and Adam (Kristen) Vaughan, his three grandchildren Keegan,
Reganne and Carlin, his sister Mecheall (Mark) Giombetti, as well as sisters and brother-in law Anita (Brent) Kackley, and Dana Adams Barrett. Additionally, he leaves many deeply loved
extended family members and close friends behind.
Bobby was born and raised in Upper Arlington, Ohio where he attended Saint Agatha's Catholic Church and School. He was a proud Bishop Watterson High School graduate in the class of 1964. Following high school, Bobby attended Ohio State University prior to his service in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1968. Upon his return from Vietnam he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Franklin University where he
graduated with honors. Bobby married the love of his life, Victoria Vaughan on November 6, 1970. They were together for fifty-one blessed years. After a long courageous battle with
cancer Bobby died as he lived, by Vikki's side.
Bobby owned and operated The Vaughan Motor Car Company for 35 years. He was a
dedicated officer and founding member of the Ohio Independent Automobile Dealers
Association and the Parson's Avenue Merchant's Association. He also served as a board
member for the Ohio Dominican Literacy Council and as a volunteer at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Bobby was a true Columbusite, Buckeye, and devout Catholic. Throughout
his life he worked tirelessly for the betterment of his profession, his community and his
spiritual life.
Bobby will be remembered by many for who he was in this world. He was known to be an
honest, genuine, kind and loving soul. He valued family, friends and community and lived those values every day. Anyone who knew him felt his deep commitment to serving his fellowman in large and small ways.
Bobby was a keeper of family tradition. He kept in touch with family and friends no matter the distance between them. Bobby had many life long friendships and was surrounded by the love of friends until his last day.
Bobby found joy in the simple things. He loved good food and drink and was known for his marathon meals. He loved a good deal-both making one and getting one. He was a well loved and respected man. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and community.
Funeral arrangements have been made through Schoedinger Funeral Home. A funeral mass and memorial will be held at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road South
Powell, Ohio 43065, on April 29 at 11:00 a.m. Please be aware that church policy requires masks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bobby's name to The Disabled American Veteran's Association, The Ohio Dominican Literacy Council, or any charitable organization close to your heart.
