Robert Leroy Mills

Born November 11th, 1937 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of Ernest and Beatrice Mills, and brother to Eileen Behrens (Mills), all of who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Gerri of 65 years, his 4 children; Michele Fullerton, spouse Baxter, Cheryl Mills, spouse John, Michael Mills, and Julianne Lee, spouse Shawn. Also, Bob is survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bob joined the U.S Navy when he was 18, and gave 4 years to his country before joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 1961. He retired in 1990 with the rank of Sergeant. He continued his service to his country, for 20 more years, by joining the Air Force National Guard in 1977. His rank was Senior Master Sergeant at retirement.

Bob had a beautiful 2nd tenor voice, and loved the Barbershop style more than any other. Over the years he sang in many quartets and several choruses, including the Columbus quartet “Buckeye Blend” – specializing in songs of tribute to Ohio State University.

A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 10:30 AM. A reception will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM at Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.
