Mariamma Mathew

Mariamma Mathew, age 78, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was born May 11, 1944, in Kerala, India to the late Mathai Thomas and Saramma Mathai. Mariamma is survived by loving husband, John Mathew; children, Jayamol and Sujamol; and their husbands, Thomas John and James John; Grandchildren, Tijin, Tanya, Krupa Joshua along with other dear family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, P.M Abraham.

She was the first child of 7 children born to Late Mr. Mathai Thomas and Saramma Mathai of Punnittethu family. She was brought up in a God fearing family and she was saved and baptized at a young age. She lived a good spiritual, humble, and prayerful life and was able to influence her siblings to follow her footsteps. She always interceded for others and was a blessing to her family, Church and those around her. She was married to V.J. Mathew, Varikkanickalthadathil on January 29th, 1970 and was blessed with 2 children, Jaya and Suja. Throughout her marriage, she and her family moved to various locations in Kerala, including Seethathodu, Mylapra, and Vazhoor. She came to the U.S. in 2000. She and her beloved husband were living with their oldest daughter, Jaya and family in Westerville Ohio until her final days.

Family will receive friends Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:30-8PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 6699 N High Street, with a funeral service the following day, Saturday November 26, 2022, starting at 8:30AM-11AM with burial at North Lawn Memory Gardens in Westerville.
