Judith Ann Beamon (Judy) passed away with family by her side on December 9, 2023 in Dublin, Ohio. Judy was born to the late Josephine (Horne) and Edward Turner, Sr. on April 4, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1960 and after, worked at Libbey Owens Ford in Toledo for a short time.
Judy married William Baumker, Sr. in 1962 and they had three sons, William Jr., Greg and Randy. Shortly after, they adopted their daughter Lori. Judy found so much joy in raising her children and taking care of her home. She was very involved at Messiah Lutheran Church in Point Place as a member of the choir, director of the women’s ministry and even as a youth leader. She loved church and people but most of all she loved the Lord. She especially adored children and even spent several years babysitting so that young moms could work and leave their children in a safe and loving home during the day. After raising her children, Judy began a career as an apprentice optician and enjoyed choosing the perfect eyeglass frames for people, always making them feel special. In 1991 Judy married Thomas Beamon. They spent 12 wonderful years together until Tom left this world too early in 2003. Judy never met a stranger and loved people like Jesus would. She was kind to everyone she met and had a way of blessing others with her simple yet uplifting words no matter where she went. She poured her life into her family and cherished times with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved unconditionally and will be dearly missed but Judy is now spending eternity with Jesus and her family is rejoicing in that.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Edward Sr. and Josephine Turner, first husband William D. Baumker, Sr. and husband, Thomas E. Beamon, Jr.
Surviving are her brother Edward Turner, Jr. (Barbara) of Powell, Ohio; sister Linda Versluys; sons, William Baumker, Jr. (Julie) of Delaware, Ohio; Greg Baumker (Dawn) of Howell, Michigan; Randy Baumker of Toledo, Ohio; daughter Lori Grimes (Michael) of Senoia, Georgia; step-daughter Ronni Wolfe (Tom) of Toledo, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and loving friends.
Judy especially loved going to the Toledo Zoo with her children and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Toledo Zoo or to Capital City Hospice in Columbus, Ohio. A private burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on April 6, 2024 in Toledo.
