Elsie Mae Holt

Elsie Holt, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away on October 29, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1932, to the late John and Dona (Roberts) Peeler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Nicholas; and her siblings, William Hassel Peeler, Ernest Woodrow Peeler, James Gordon Peeler, John Amos Peeler, Bertie Faye Merkel and Edward Ray Peeler.

Elsie loved working out, playing tennis and softball and bowling with friends. Her absolute favorite activity was dancing to live music. She never understood how anyone could sit still when a fast song came on. She was always the first and last on the dance floor.

Elsie, or Mima (MIM-awe) as many called her, always believed herself to be 10 foot tall and bulletproof, which was accurate because she was always larger than life. She was rare and unique and beautiful and feisty.

Elsie will be greatly missed by her children, Carla Reed, Vicki (John) Watt, and Cindy Ellison; grandchildren, Becky (Quentin) Dittman, Beth (Tim) Grannell, Samantha Watt, John Watt III, James (Mariela) Ellison, Andrea (Albert) Ellison, Lucas Ellison; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jackson, Tyler, Jacob, Harvey, Kalani and Isla; Great-Great-Grandson, Quentin Dallas.
