Beverly is survived by children David Neal Shaw (Kim) of Apex, North Carolina; Dr. John Rolland Shaw (Cheryl) of Lewis Center, Ohio; and Anne Shaw Sligar (Michael) of McKinney, Texas; Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren along with other dear family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Charles Ponder and her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. Rolland H. Shaw. Beverly held a bachelor’s degree in music education from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi and a Masters degree in education from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. She taught music at all grade levels, elementary through college. An accomplished pianist and organist, she served several different churches and was an often-sought accompanist for recitals and special choral programs. During her retirement she enjoyed painting, cross-stitch, and traveling with her husband, friends and family. Among her favorite times were Thanksgiving gatherings in the Smokey Mountains with her family. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON FUNERAL HOME.
