Tom was born in Yonkers, New York to Thomas and Rose Brooks on December 22, 1930. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy in Key West. After the service, he worked as a TV repairman for RCA in
Miami. He became district manager of telecommunications and continued to work with General Electric when they bought out RCA. Although retired, he continued to work for Microtel and later Mitel as a consultant until 2013. He eventually moved to Woodstock, Georgia where he was an active member of Heritage Presbyterian Church.
Tom met his first wife, Barbara, while in Key West and they were married until she passed away in 1983. They had two children, daughter, Vicki and son, Tommy. He then married wife, Kaye, in
1985 until she passed away in 2014. Together Tom and Kaye raised her four children, Lisa, Scott, Christine, and Amy Farley.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Rose, brothers Henry and Richard Brooks, his son, Tommy, step-daughter, Amy, his wives, Barbara and Kaye, and nephew, Henry (Skip) Thomas Brooks Jr.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Victoria; step-children, Lisa Farley, Scott Farley, and Christine Klinkert; in addition to his grandchildren Heather and Michael Lintz; step-grandchildren Kayla Vess, Trenton Farley, Alexander and Abigail Klinkert, Marissa Myrick; greatgrandson Aiden Turner; step-great-grandchildren Courtney Vess, and Adelyn Myrick; and nieces, nephews and much loved extended family.
Arrangements are being handled through Woodstock Funeral Home. A memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials can be sent to Refuse Rescue of Woodstock, P.O. Box 1923, Woodstock, GA 30188.
Tom’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff and medical professionals at Kennestone Wellstar Hospital for their excellent care of their greatest treasure, Papa.
