Margaret S Brown

Mrs. Margaret S. Brown, 98, of Marietta, GA passed away April 29, 2015. She was born September 26, 1916 in McKeesport, PA to the late Andy and Mary Salitros. She is a graduate of McKeesport High School. Margaret enjoyed working as a bookkeeper. When her mother fell ill, Margaret quit working to care for her until her passing. She was a true caregiver at heart and also cared for her two brothers. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and volunteering at her church. Margaret founded the Friendship Circle, a group for retirees, at Transfiguration Catholic Church and cooked meals for MUST Ministries and families in need. Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, William V. Brown. She leaves behind her son and his wife, Robert and Carol Brown, grandchildren, Laura Hughes and Paul Brown and great-grandchildren, Brantley Hughes, Isabel Brown and Elaina Brown.A funeral mass will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11:00am at Transfiguration Catholic Church.
