Lillian Geneva (Atkinson) Reeves, age 99, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the home of Diana and John Huntoon in Johns Creek, Georgia. She was the firstborn of TEN children of the late Rev. Ethan Allen Atkinson, Sr. and Minor Mae (Quick) Atkinson. Lillian was predeceased by her husband of sixteen years: Norman Lee Reeves, Sr. of Tallahassee, Florida. She is survived by FIVE daughters, all of Georgia: Mrs. Sary Self and her husband Hugh E. of Cumming, Georgia, Mrs. Mary Kennedy and her husband Ted of Austell, Georgia, Mrs. Mino Holcomb and her husband Bud of Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. Lillian Claudia Mitchell of Hull, Georgia and Mrs. Dovie Diana Huntoon and her husband John of Johns Creek, Georgia. Lillian was the matriarch of SIX generations: five daughters, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandson, Adam, born June 28, 2007. Lillian is also survived by a sister , Mino Odessa “Odessa” (Atkinson) Hylton and her husband Everett of LaQuinta, California and a brother James Franklin “Jimmy” Atkinson and his wife Lynn of Doraville, Georgia. Lillian has seven step children in Florida: Gayle Beverly Reeves, Bonnie Jean (Reeves) Marshal, Andrew Norman “Andy” Reeves, April M. (Reeves) Howard, Donna (Reeves) May Shirley Ann (Reeves) Lamb and Norman Lee Reeves, Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2011 from 5 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
