Kathleen M.A. MacDonald passed away August 3, 2016 at the age of 72. The youngest of 9, Kathleen was born July 1, 1944 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to the late Hugh and Sarah Hunter. With her young family, she moved to Toronto in 1971, and then in 1990 the family relocated to Woodstock, GA. Music played an important role in her life. In her early 20’s she sang with the Vicious Circle and later sang with family and friends. She also focused her time as a water aerobics instructor and volunteer with MUST Ministries. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Known as Kat by her family and friends, she was very involved with the lives and activities of her grandchildren. She also went to endless lengths to support, encourage and celebrate her family and friends, always being there for anyone who needed her. Kat will be deeply missed by so many. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, John MacDonald, her daughters, Colleen MacDonald and Shannon Skinner, son in-law Mark Skinner, grandchildren Hunter MacDonald Chard and Sebastian Skinner and siblings Bill Hunter, Blanche Keith and Barbara Sproule. The family will have a Memorial Service at Hillside UMC at 3:00pm Saturday, August 13th followed by a Celebration of Life at the MacDonald home.
