John Merritt Weldon

John Merritt Weldon, age 81 of Canton, Georgia, was finally reunited with the love of his life on February 22nd, 2022. His beloved wife of 54 years, Sandra Bernadette (Mullen). He was born on September 11th, 1940 in Evanston, Illinois. John was affectionately known as Pop-Pop to his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John served honorably in the Navy from 1959 to 1963.

John was always there to build or fix anything for his family. He had a very kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. John constantly told his family “I am happy, happy, happy!”

John leaves to cherish in his memory, daughters Molly Chelena (Victor), Kathleen Weldon, Heather Gottmeier (William); grandchildren, Chloe’ Roach (Andy), Kayla Barnard (Jacob), Brooke Gottmeier, Will Gottmeier; great grandchildren, Juniper Roach, Bryce Barnard; siblings, Martha Liberto (Charlie), Ann Shower; the Mullen & Kelly Clan.
