Jeffrey Les Hovda

Mr. Jeffrey Les Hovda, 55, of Woodstock, GA passed away February 7, 2019. Jeff was born on April 20, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from Armstrong High School, Jeff attended Bemidji State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree. He was a football fan and loyal to the Minnesota Vikings. Jeff was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was the life of the party and loved to laugh and tell jokes. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Jeff leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Scarlett Hovda; daughters, Hailey (19) and Kaitlyn Hovda (17); parents, Les and Shirley Hovda; brother, Scott Hovda; sister, Debbie Haagenson; father-in-law, James Gilbert; and sister-in-law, Vicky Batten. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gertie Gilbert. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5-8pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 11:00am, 1208 Rose Creek Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189. A reception will follow at the church.
