He was born in Detroit, MI on February 28, 1967. He is survived by his three sons, Daniel Jr., Spencer and Stewart Palladino. He also left behind his fiancé, Elizabeth Hall; his mother, Martha Wing; his brother, Michael Palladino; his sister-in-law, Alicia; and their two children, Maddox and Sloane. Later in life, Dan met his biological family, including Curt and Sandy Fordyce and Barbara DeFrane. He felt very blessed to know and love them all. He never claimed to have a favorite son – but those who knew him recognized that his dog, Zeus, was the top contender for that title.
Dan was a dedicated, loving, incredible father. As a single parent for the past ten years, Dan found the time to be present for and supportive of his boys in every way. He was immensely proud of them. Dan was at peace in his last days knowing that Daniel, Spencer and Stewart had each grown to become such exceptional and accomplished young men with bright futures.
Dan was a Certified Financial Analyst who had a successful career in finance. He was Managing Director of Southeast Equity Sales at Cowen, Inc. at the time of his passing and, prior to that, Managing Director at Jefferies & Company, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, Executive Director at CIBC World Markets, and Senior Equity Analyst at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Dan was deeply committed to his clients, passionate about finance and talented at stock picking. He graduated from Central Michigan in 1989 with a degree in finance.
He was a lifelong fan of Detroit sports teams. He loved eating tacos and watching the Lions lose every Thanksgiving with his boys.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church at 805 Mount Vernon Hwy NW, Atlanta, GA on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to a gathering with refreshments at the church immediately after the service. Thank you for wearing your mask as mandated by the church. A Private Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dan’s favorite charity, Child Protect (childprotect.org), a non-profit organization based in Montgomery, AL that supports victims of child abuse, or to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (pcf.org). We want to thank his family, friends and health care providers for their care and support through his battle with cancer.
