Carole Virginia Hickman

Carole Virginia Hickman, age 80, of Atlanta, Georgia, was born on December 29, 1941 and passed away on October 21, 2022. Mrs. Hickman had a passion for sewing and cooking. One of her favorite desserts was pound cake and she made the best! She loved spending quality time with her family, and her Shih Tzu, Max. Virginia, also known as “Nanny” by many of her loved ones, loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She was an Eastern Star member of Woodstock First Baptist Church.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Gina Parker (Greg), her son Robert Evans. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adam Parker (Virginia), Ashley Evans, Tyler Evans, Jon Evans, and her great-grandson, Jackson Parker. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Hickman, her father, John L. Bruce, mother, Odessa L Bruce, sister, Helen Dickerson, and brothers, JL Bruce, Gene Bruce, and Herbert Bruce.

Her family would like to give a special thank you to Fairmont Hospice in Richmond, TX for caring for her.

A graveside service for Virginia will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114.
