Nina was granted her angels wings on June 11, 2015. Nina was raised in the Bronx, New York then relocated to Queens, New York. She was educated in Queens, NY, where she graduated from high school. She then furthered her education and received her associates degree from LaGuardia College with honors.
Nina was a pillar in her community, a hard worker. She loved everything she did; cooking, taking trips, head of the Queensbridge Outreach program, and Scout Master with the BoyScouts. She was TA president for over 16 years until she retired. Nina took pride in her community, “she was the Avon Lady” she cooked (chili) & (cheese corn bread).
Nina married the love of her life Clarence (Deceased) 52 years ago on November 16, 1961, they had three children Frances Yvette, Geraline Denise (Deceased) and Clarence Jr..
When thinking about “Nina”, we think about the game trouble which she played for hours. She never forgot anyone’s birthday or Christmas etc… She was such a lovable person , she worked hard and loved her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Frances Yvette (Frank) her son Clarence JR., grandchildren, Lonnie, Shaneima, Lenny, Lynnea, Christopher, CJ, Crystal Nina#2, Junior, Damaris, DJ, Justin and Jasmine, great grandchildren Alonte, Skye, Alonzo, Amani, Amaya and Semaj; her sisters who she loved so dearly Gardenia Gwaltney and Geraline Jones; sisters-in-law, Inez Richardson, Eileen Adams and Mildred Adams; brothers-in-law, Eugene, Clayton, Bernard and Dennis; goddaughters Zabrina, Beatrice (LB); godsons, Kharton, Barry and Naron. Nina also leaves a host of beautiful and fond memories nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
