Margie was born on April 25, 1937 to Vincent and Sadie Arnone.
Margie began her working career at Metlife in her early 20's and, after having her children, worked the the rest of her career for the NYC DOE as a paraprofessional in Long Island City H.S., which just happened to be her alma mater.
In 1959, Margaret Rose Arnone met Manny Vdokakes at a Catholic Charities Hall in Queens. Manny and Margie married on October 8th 1961. They went on to have George , Vincent and Margaret.
Margaret Rose was predeceased by her mother and father Vincent and Sadie. She was estranged from her daughter, Teresa, and her son, Vincent, as well as her grandchildren, Megan and James. She is survived by her two children, George and Margaret, her two daughter- in-laws Sarah DiVirgilio Vdokakes and Colleen Golden Vdokakes, and her granddaughter, the light of her life, Kayla Rose, as well as her sister Christina Arnone and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider making a donation to Long Island City H.S in our mother's honor. Margaret was a proud alumni, retired worker, and sent all 4 of her children to LIC HS.
