Kevin Michael Cosgrove, wise beyond your years and gone too soon from illness at age 62,  those around you sensed you lived every moment in ways others wished they could. 
Rest in peace and my the grief of your loved ones be soothed by the memories of your positive infkuence. Instantly like when you walked into a room, you had an unforgettable positive impact and legacy. 
May your soul soon be back on earth for more good.

Even as a sergeant I still called him Sarg!

Hey sarge, just wanted to say thank you. You were my boss almost my entire career. You taught me a lot, and I will never forget ur dopey blank stare, where I didn’t know what the hell you were thinking. U made it out to the boon docks for my squad BBQs, and became beer pong champ with Jana. I will miss those parties. Rest well Sarge…

I remember when he had to ride the bike back, in order for it to be vouchered. Sgt. Cosgrove, you certainly were one of a kind. Thank you for always taking the time out to make me laugh and crack jokes with me, and always asking about my military service. Until Valhalla. Sleep in Peace. 

One of the nicest and caring person I have met both on and off the job. Thanks for always looking out for your cops and more importantly for all the laughs along the way.  Sgt. Cos…. You will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace.

My last day at the Cmd before I got promoted to Sgt in 2014.  He hands me an SBA card and said “welcome to the club”.  Will always remember your kind gesture.   Good day at the beer garden(Astoria) 

What an honor it was to enjoy spending time with you Sgt. You were quirky and looked out for all of us. We will always hold you to the highest regard in the 114, Sleep Well !! 

I wish you to live blissfully on the boat of the sun and navigate your beloved sea.  I send you my last greetings in the land of the living, but I will always remember you as one of the best Sargents I have ever known.

We came on the job together in 1983. Lots of fun over the years. If they ever knew our act at the US Open  - we never would have been invited back.  You were a great Holy Name and SBA Delegate. I enjoyed all the time we spent together both on the job and in our retirement. I saw you last at the Holy Name Meeting last month. I will always treasure that day. You are at peace - you are our new angel in heaven to watch over us. I know we will meet again - until then - I love you and will miss you.

One of the kindest, most sincere, genuine man. Always greeted you with a smile. He would leave chocolates on the desks of everyone in the office. Had the pleasure of working with your for almost 18 years. You will truly be missed and never forgotten.
