Diaz, a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, partner, and friend. Chris departed from this
world on March 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable
memories.
Born on October 28, 1985, Chris brought immense joy into the lives of those around him
from the very beginning. His passion for a fun-loving life was evident in everything he
did from his obsession with sports to his unwavering dedication to his family and
friends. Chris aka “Baby Boy” had a fun-loving nature with a contagious laughter that
could brighten even the darkest of days.
Chris’ enthusiasm for sports, especially for his beloved Jets and Mets was infectious. He
lived for the thrill of the game and shared his passion with anyone in his company. As a
talented baseball player in his own right, Chris was hand selected by the Mayor’s office
to part of an All-Star team of New York players excellent enough to travel to Japan to
square off against international teams. His talents also allowed him to play games here
in front of crowds at storied Shea & Yankee stadiums. Chris truly embodied the spirit of
competition and camaraderie on the field.
Chris is survived by his beloved mother, Anna Martinez, father Felix Diaz and
grandmother Argentina Diaz. He leaves behind siblings, Robert Martinez, Rachel
Martinez, Vanessa Martinez, Erik Martinez, Felix "Cookie" Diaz and Jeffrey Diaz, each of
whom held a special place in his heart.
Chris is also survived by his children, Aiden Diaz, Christopher Diaz, and Divine Diaz. His
children were the pride of his life, and he will undoubtedly serve as their guardian angel.
Chris’ also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews, Ruben Diaz, Adrian
Hernandez, Madison Diaz, Layla Martinez, Frankie Martinez, and Jeffrey Jace Diaz, each
of whom he adored dearly.
Chris also leaves behind his loving partner Diamond Walley, uncle Julio Diaz, cousins,
and countless friends and relatives who will forever cherish his memory.
Though Chris may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who
knew and loved him. His laughter, his kindness, and his zest for life will be remembered
fondly, guiding us through the days ahead. May Chris rest in eternal peace, knowing he
was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
