It is with great sadness that Barbra and the 4 children of Tom Clark announce his passing at the age of 75 on February 21, 2023. Tom was the first born of 3 children. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Jane Clark and Brother-in-law Paul Rybak. He is survived by his siblings, Mary Lynn, and Rick and his wife Barb; his Wife Barbra; his children Michael and his partner AJ, Bryan and his partner Paloma, Rebecca, and Eric and his wife Nicolet; 13 grandchildren; and countless friends and relatives.
Tom was born in Excelsior MN and moved to Richfield when he was 2 years old. It was there that he enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors playing all sports, riding his bike, and skating on the ice rink his Dad made in the backyard. Tom graduated from UND in 1969 and started his career at Minnesota Mutual Life Ins, a job he would work at for 39 years. Tom met the love of his life at that job and got married May 5th 1972. He adhered to the philosophy Happy Wife Happy Life for over 50 years. Tom and Barbra raised their children on a 20 acre hobby farm 10 miles outside of River Falls, WI. They later built a house closer in town. In 2003 they moved to Buena Vista, Colorado and spent many happy years there. In 2019 they moved back to Woodbury, MN where Barbra still lives. Tom was very competitive and enjoyed all sports, playing cards and board games, spending time with family, Fantasy Football, fishing, skiing, watching hockey and Survivor with Smiley. Tom treated everyone with respect and spent his life helping others, he is missed by all who knew him.
Services will take place Wednesday March 1st at Lutheran Church of Peace, 47 Century Ave S, Maplewood, MN 55119 Visitation starting at 10 AM, Service starts at 11 AM and lunch will be served after.
