Richard Allen Large, born on January 11, 1961, in Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, in Woodbury, Minnesota. He was the cherished son of Bernard "Skip" Large and Patricia Albaugh.
Rick's life was marked by a profound sense of duty and service, beginning with his enlistment in the Marines at the age of 17. A graduate of Richardton-Taylor High School, he laid the groundwork for a life characterized by dedication and love.
On July 2, 1982, Rick married his soulmate, Brenda Sand. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and resilience, raising four children: Eric, Andrew, Marcus, and Dayna. His family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Rick was a man of many talents, known for his passion for fishing, his skill in working on cars, and his love for arts and crafts. His inventive spirit and boundless curiosity were evident in his remarkable ability to tinker and create with his hands.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Large; his children, Eric Large, Andrew Large, Marcus Large, and Dayna (Caleb) Gorman; his parents, Bernard "Skip" (Lou) Large and Patricia Albaugh; his brothers, David (April) Large, Kevin (Mattie) Large, and Jason Large; his sister, Nancy (David) Reidy; and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Large; his sister, Lori Miller; and both sets of grandparents.
Rick's legacy is one of love, creativity, and unwavering dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a lasting impact on the lives he touched. His memory will forever be a source of inspiration and joy to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
